Contracts end. Sometimes you are moving on, sometimes you just need a break, and sometimes it is not working out. Here is how each of those goes.
If You Are Not Renewing
Please give us at least thirty days notice before your contract ends so we can plan for the space and let the next maker know. A quick email is fine.
Your Damage Deposit
If there is no damage to the property, we return your damage deposit after your contract ends. You can also choose to put it toward a last month of rent that has not been paid in full. Just tell us which you would prefer.
Clearing Out Your Space
Pack up during low traffic times, the same way you set up. We can usually meet you before or after regular business hours so you are not working around customers. Please leave the space clean and empty for whoever comes next.
Taking a Break
If you need to step away for a while and come back later, talk to us. We can take your vendor page down and put it back up when you return, so you do not have to start over from scratch.
When We End a Contract
We can end a contract at any time for not following the terms of the agreement, for not keeping a booth or shelf clean, organized, and up to date, or for threatening, abusive, or rude behavior toward our employees, other vendors, or our customers. That last one is not negotiable. This is meant to be a good place to work and shop.
Unpaid Rent
If a contract is terminated for unpaid rent, all items in the space are packed up and become the property of The Feathered Unicorn, and any rent still owed remains due. See our rent and late fee policy for the full timeline.
