The Feathered Unicorn is getting ready to open in downtown Cañon City, and we are filling our booths, shelves, and cabinets with handmade work from local makers. Do vendors have to work in the store?
Yes, four hours a month. You greet customers, help them find things, wrap gifts, and pitch in with general tidying. There is always a paid employee working alongside you, so you are never running the shop on your own, and we provide a short customer service video before your first shift.
It is not a paid position and it does not reduce your rent. It keeps you connected to the store, the customers, and the other makers. If your schedule truly will not allow it, you can choose instead to have an additional percentage of your sales go toward the cost of running the store.
